The Official Pullman-Standard Library Selected Heavyweight Cars

Handsomely done collection of official Pullman photos showing the interior and exterior of heavyweight cars that were brought into the shops to have air-conditioning installed during the 1930s. These photos were taken before the beautiful wood grain interiors were painted green after World War II. There are 384 black and white photos showing 115 different cars of every kind, including baggage, diners and lounges. The cars belonged to 14 different railroads, including UP, SP, CN, the C&O, the Nickel Plate and the New York Central.
